About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated HR Manager - Greenfield Manufacturing Plant to lead our human resources function at a new manufacturing facility in West Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to shape the HR strategy and build the HR infrastructure from the ground up in a highly automated environment.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the sole HR professional for a Greenfield manufacturing operation, owning all site-level HR strategy and execution.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, focusing on engineering, technical, and skilled manufacturing roles.
  • Partner closely with the U.S. President, plant leadership, and global HR stakeholders to build the U.S. workforce.
  • Establish and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices aligned with federal and state employment laws.
  • Act as the primary HR partner to plant leadership on employee relations, coaching, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration; evaluate and utilize appropriate HRIS and systems.
  • Build and maintain HR reporting and key workforce metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and training completion.
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition programs, and culture-building initiatives in a start-up environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred).
  • 3–7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within manufacturing or technically complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting engineering and technical populations.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Comfort operating as a hands-on HR leader in a Greenfield or start-up setting.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution and day-to-day problem solving.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
