About the Role

We're hiring a Hospital Director of Compliance and Privacy Officer to join a high-performing healthcare organization in Southern California. This is a unique opportunity to lead compliance initiatives while ensuring patient privacy and trust in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and implementation of compliance programs that align with CMS Conditions of Participation and The Joint Commission standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop work plans to ensure adherence to HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
• Oversee investigations, incident responses, and breach notifications to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to promote ethical decision-making and operational excellence across the hospital network.
• Serve as a trusted advisor during regulatory surveys and corrective action planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Director of Compliance in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, OIG guidance, and state compliance laws.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.
• Experience in risk management and internal auditing processes.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in healthcare administration or related field.
• Certification in healthcare compliance (e.g., CHC, CCEP).
• Experience with AI-enabled auditing tools and modern EHR systems.
