Head of Quality Operations - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Quality Operations to join our team at Wagner Group. This remote opportunity allows you to take charge of the quality organization at our Altstätten location, ensuring effective quality assurance throughout the entire value chain. You will be responsible for developing structures, processes, and the team to maintain high-quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead the quality assurance team, overseeing all aspects from quality planning to operational supplier quality.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage local complaint handling and initiate corrective and preventive actions for product and process quality enhancement.
• Analyze performance metrics systematically and derive structured, effective measures for improvement.
• Prepare for audits and support both internal and external audit processes.
• Contribute your quality expertise early in development projects to ensure robust industrial implementation.
• Actively work towards achieving local quality goals while aligning with the global quality strategy.

Requirements

• Technical background in mechanics, mechatronics, or electronics.
• Completed further education in quality assurance/management.
• Several years of experience in leading and developing a quality assurance team.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and quality core tools.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in SAP, particularly the Q-module.
• Excellent social skills with a communicative personality.
• Ability to work collaboratively and exhibit assertiveness.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with advanced quality tools and methodologies.
• Leadership training or certifications.
