About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Infrastructure to join a leading Financial Trading company, offering a fully remote position from anywhere in the UK. As the Head of Infrastructure, you will leverage your extensive cloud knowledge, ideally with GCP, but AWS experience is also welcomed. This role is pivotal in shaping the infrastructure landscape of the organization and ensuring seamless operations across platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the infrastructure team, managing a junior DevOps Engineer while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions in a cloud environment, utilizing your expertise in GCP or AWS.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilize Python or similar programming languages to automate processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align infrastructure goals with business objectives and deliver outcome-based results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head of Infrastructure or similar leadership role in a cloud environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP, with hands-on experience in Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a self-starter attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the financial trading sector.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional).
