About the Role
We are looking for a Growth Engineer (Data Systems) remote to join our team at BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. As a Growth Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our analytics stack operates at peak performance, allowing our teams to make data-driven decisions with confidence. Your expertise will transform raw data into structured intelligence, making you a crucial part of our operations.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain seamless data flows from user interactions to downstream tools like Mixpanel, GA4, and AppsFlyer using Segment.
- Manage and version-control the analytics infrastructure with Terraform, ensuring all tracking plans and integrations are executed through code.
- Act as the bridge between Marketing and Engineering, translating high-level business questions into precise technical tracking requirements.
- Proactively monitor and audit the data pipeline to prevent inaccurate dashboards, ensuring every event fired is meaningful.
- Maintain the organizational "Source of Truth" for data schemas, ensuring clear and accessible documentation.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex mobile and web attribution pathways, including deep-linking and postbacks.
Requirements
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly within Node.js and React environments.
- Proven experience using Terraform for managing third-party integrations and cloud-based stacks.
- Deep technical knowledge of Segment and its relationship with tools like Mixpanel and GA4.
- Familiarity with AppsFlyer or similar tools for handling deep-linking and cross-platform attribution.
- Comfortable working with webhooks, REST APIs, and connecting backends to third-party data ecosystems.
- A high degree of analytical curiosity and the ability to understand how events influence reports.

- Experience in the cryptocurrency or financial technology sectors.
