About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer - Offshore Energy (Remote) to join JDR Cable Systems. As a part of our Graduate Engineering Programme 2026, you will kickstart your engineering career and play a key role in shaping the future of the offshore energy industry. This role offers a unique chance to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to the development of static and dynamic steel tube umbilicals within the Oil and Gas sector. You will be part of a team that supports the global shift towards net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

What You'll Do

• Participate in our Graduate Development Programme, rotating through various departments to gain hands-on experience in Design Engineering, Product Development, Tendering, Technology, and Analysis.
• Work on innovative steel tube umbilical developments that are transforming the energy landscape.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Develop calculation tools and design guidance associated with the design and analysis of static and dynamic steel tube umbilicals.
• Access mentoring from senior engineers to guide your development and help you reach your full potential.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in related fields.
• Creative and solution-oriented thinking with a passion for solving problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
• A genuine interest in contributing to the offshore energy industry and achieving net-zero targets.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned work and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.

Nice to Have

• Experience with offshore energy projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Membership in accredited bodies like IMechE.
