Business Support Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Support Manager remote to join our team at Serco, focusing on the Royal Navy Support portfolio. This position is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery and management of business support functions across RNAS Culdrose and RNAS Yeovilton.

What You'll Do

• Lead contract HR activities, including absence management, appraisals, and recruitment.
• Oversee financial services such as payroll, invoicing, and procurement.
• Support commercial growth opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage operational risk and contract performance measurement.
• Conduct performance appraisals and mentor staff to ensure effective service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and security protocols.
• Develop personnel to maintain effective working knowledge of procedures and policies.
• Deputize for management as required and perform additional tasks as directed.

Requirements

• SC clearance and Airfield Driving permit required.
• Management or business qualification, or equivalent managerial experience.
• Proven experience in business support management and knowledge of management processes.
• Experience in a military or civil environment with strong leadership skills.
• Competence in business management services, including HR, finances, and operational support.
• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and finance packages.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the defense sector.
• Knowledge of MoD legislation and processes.
• Additional qualifications in project management.
