About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager - Hotel Operations (Remote) to join our team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a General Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the financial performance of our hotel while ensuring the highest quality of guest service. This position allows you to work remotely while leading a dynamic team dedicated to creating heartfelt connections and exceptional experiences for our guests.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve maximum occupancy and average rates for the hotel.
- Collaborate with the ownership group to strategize and implement projects that drive business growth.
- Coordinate guest satisfaction initiatives and resolve guest issues effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with the restaurant and spa to promote overall property success.
- Protect and enhance the value of hotel assets through maintenance, security, and housekeeping programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.
- Oversee weekly forecasting and planning of staffing and cost expenditures.
- Supervise and develop the performance of all operating departments, including Reservations, Front Office, Guest Services, and more.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of upper-level management experience in the hospitality industry.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and manage a team by example.
- High level of creativity, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to convert vision into specific actions that benefit the property.
