Full Stack Software Engineer - Crypto Accelerator

About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Alliance, a leading accelerator for crypto founders. This Full Stack Software Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that shape the future of the crypto industry. You will be responsible for owning features from the requirements definition stage to production, making this a pivotal role in our engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Own products end-to-end: discovery, definition, design/UX, implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Write production-grade TypeScript across the stack, utilizing React/Next.js on the front-end and Node.js on the back-end.
• Build and maintain internal tools that enhance team efficiency.
• Ship features across our external sites and web applications, including Space – our founder portal.
• Craft polished UIs with React and contribute components back to our internal component library.
• Integrate third-party APIs (authentication, payments, email) and manage data models, caching, and performance.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality through code reviews, CI/CD, reliability, and accessibility.

Requirements

• Product-minded builder with the ability to turn ambiguous problems into shipped software without a dedicated PM or designer.
• Deep experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js; familiarity with Next.js and modern databases (e.g., Postgres/Prisma) is a plus.
• Strong UX/UI taste and the ability to sketch flows or lightweight wireframes before coding.
• Hands-on IC orientation with a strong ownership bias: you set priorities, move fast, and sweat the details.
• Extremely high-agency, entrepreneurial, and self-driven.
• Comfortable using modern AI tools to enhance productivity.
• NYC-based or willing to relocate (non-negotiable).

Nice to Have

• Standout GitHub with notable open-source projects or meaningful contributions.
• Design-engineering portfolio showcasing polished UI work and attention to accessibility/performance.
• Experience as a founder or early team member of a VC-backed startup.
• Previous SWE experience at a top tech company (e.g., Meta, Stripe, OpenAI).
• Clear signals of exceptional ability, such as competitive gaming or top academic achievements.
