About the Role

We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join our team at Coviu, a leading virtual care platform. This Full Stack Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare technology.

What You'll Do

• Write clean, maintainable code to meet system requirements and technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Work across frontend and backend components, including our WebRTC-based video conferencing solution.
• Contribute to technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Embrace experimentation, using data to test and iterate on new features.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare providers.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer or developer.
• Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue) and CSS pre/postprocessors (SASS, PostCSS).
• Experience with server-side languages and frameworks (Node.js/Express).
• Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience with developer tooling such as Webpack.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, RDS, and ECS.
• Experience with Scala for backend development.
• Microservices and serverless architecture experience.
• Understanding of SOLID principles and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
