About the Role

IXL Learning is seeking a Freelance Spanish Translator for Math Content to join our dynamic team. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in translating K–6 math content into Spanish for a U.S. audience. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world, making it an ideal fit for those passionate about education and language.

What You'll Do

• Translate math problems and explanations from English to Spanish, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Evaluate and revise existing translations for grammatical correctness and cultural appropriateness.
• Collaborate with math curriculum designers to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
• Utilize IXL's in-house tools to create and save translated content efficiently.
• Adapt translations to suit a wide range of reading levels, making math accessible to all students.

Requirements

• Fluent Spanish speaker with a strong command of written Spanish conventions in the United States.
• Ability to translate educational content for K–6 audiences effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with or willingness to learn basic HTML markup for content formatting.
• Prior experience translating K–6 content is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with academic Spanish in the K–6 setting.
