About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance English-Chinese Translator to join our dynamic team. This Freelance English-Chinese Translator remote position offers the opportunity to work with a global leader in healthcare solutions, providing essential bilingual support for medical market-research materials. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of translations, making a significant impact on our projects.

What You'll Do

• Perform bilingual revision and quality checking of English medical market-research materials translated into Chinese.
• Utilize your fluency in English and Chinese to ensure clarity and accuracy in translations.
• Review and edit translations for precision, ensuring adherence to medical terminology and market research methodologies.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to communicate effectively and address any translation-related queries.
• Manage your time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness in language adaptation for diverse audiences.
• Leverage CAT tools, preferably SDL Trados, to enhance translation efficiency.
• Provide quality assurance to ensure all translations meet our rigorous standards.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Chinese (Simplified and/or Traditional).
• Proven translation experience of at least 2 years, specifically in medical and market research fields.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and market research methodologies.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, especially SDL Trados.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with Project Managers and team members.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness of language adaptation.
• Quality assurance skills to ensure accuracy and clarity in translations.
