Founding Protocol Engineer - Web3 & AI

About the Role

We're hiring a Founding Protocol Engineer (Web3 + AI) to join our innovative team at ChaosChain. As a pivotal member of our small, deeply technical group, you will help shape the future of decentralized intelligence and build the foundational trust layer for the autonomous economy. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology that integrates AI and blockchain, ensuring transparency and accountability in AI-driven workflows.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of our core protocol by designing, building, testing, and deploying Solidity smart contracts, including the ChaosCore factory and RewardsDistributor engine.
• Integrate cutting-edge technologies, implementing off-chain components and ensuring secure communication via XMTP and data storage on IPFS/Arweave.
• Write comprehensive tests and participate in security audits to ensure the reliability of our production systems.
• Enhance our public Python and TypeScript SDKs, making them powerful and user-friendly to drive adoption.
• Collaborate with the founding team to define the technical roadmap, prioritize features, and navigate the transition from testnet to mainnet.
• Work closely with engineering teams of launch partners to ensure seamless onboarding of their agent ecosystems.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Solidity and EVM, with a proven track record of building secure and gas-efficient smart contracts.
• Full-stack fluency in Web3 technologies, particularly TypeScript/Node.js, with experience in libraries such as Ethers.js/Viem.
• Strong understanding of cross-chain communication and transaction lifecycles.
• A builder's mindset, demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing your ability to ship robust MVPs quickly.
• Technical leadership skills, with experience mentoring others and making high-stakes architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python and familiarity with The Graph for building subgraphs.
• Knowledge of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) or zero-knowledge (ZK) primitives.
• A genuine interest in AI and LLM technologies.
