About the Role
We are seeking a Founding Protocol Engineer (Web3 + AI) to join our innovative team at ChaosChain. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of decentralized intelligence. This is not just a coding position; it is an opportunity to become a co-architect of the trust layer for the future of the internet. You will work closely with our founder to translate a powerful vision into secure, elegant, and scalable code.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of our core protocol by designing, building, testing, and deploying Solidity smart contracts, including the ChaosCore factory and RewardsDistributor engine.
- Integrate cutting-edge technologies such as XMTP for communication and IPFS/Arweave for permanent data storage in our Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG).
- Ensure the security and reliability of our systems by writing comprehensive tests, participating in security audits, and building robust monitoring solutions.
- Evolve our public Python and TypeScript SDKs into a world-class toolkit that drives adoption and enhances developer experience.
- Collaborate with the founding team to define the technical strategy, prioritize features, and navigate the roadmap from testnet to mainnet.
Requirements
- Deep Solidity and EVM expertise with demonstrable experience in designing, building, and deploying complex smart contracts.
- Full-stack Web3 fluency, particularly in TypeScript/Node.js, with experience in libraries like Ethers.js and building SDKs.
- A protocol-level thinker who understands cross-chain communication and the challenges of hybrid systems.
- A builder's mindset with a portfolio showcasing your ability to ship robust MVPs quickly.
- Technical leadership skills, including mentoring, conducting code reviews, and making high-stakes architectural decisions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, as our SDK and agent ecosystem are Python-heavy.
- Familiarity with The Graph for building subgraphs and indexing on-chain data.
- A genuine interest in the AI/LLM space and experience with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) or ZK primitives.
What We Offer
- Work on groundbreaking projects that will shape the future of the global autonomous economy.
- Significant equity/token allocation as a critical early hire.
- Collaborate with leading innovators and contribute to shaping standards like ERC-8004.
- Engage in intellectually stimulating challenges at the intersection of cryptography, economics, and artificial intelligence.
- Be part of a world-class ecosystem respected by leaders in the space, including the Ethereum Foundation and Chainlink.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of decentralized intelligence while working with cutting-edge technology in a rapidly evolving field.
