Founding GTM Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're looking for our first GTM Engineer remote to build and own the technical backbone of Mercura's go-to-market motion. This is a technical yet commercially-minded role for someone who gets excited about automating away the manual work that slows GTM teams down, and spinning up working prototypes from customer briefs. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and revenue, and your output will directly move deals forward.

What You'll Do

• Automate workflows across the full sales cycle - from first contact and demos through to contract negotiation and closing.
• Build, maintain and execute scalable systems to source, enrich, and prioritize target companies and contacts that match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
• Take customer requirements and build working prototypes that demonstrate value and close deals.
• Set up, maintain, and continuously improve our HubSpot CRM - ensure clean data, automated pipelines, and reliable reporting.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical GTM, sales engineering, or RevOps role - ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Proficient with modern GTM tooling: HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, or similar platforms.
• Ability to rapidly build prototypes or extend existing systems (Python, React, APIs, Postgres) to ship demos quickly - without relying on an engineering team.
• Strong grasp of B2B sales processes and knowledge of good pipeline hygiene.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in AI or machine learning environments.
• Familiarity with outreach tools and CRM systems.
• Background in data analysis or business intelligence.
