Founding Engineer - Ruby on Rails (Remote Opportunity)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Founding Engineer to join our innovative team at Nimble, a stealth mode compound start-up. This Founding Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our Enterprise Restaurant Operations Compound Software solution using Ruby on Rails. You will be at the forefront of technology, driving innovation and enhancing customer experiences.

What You'll Do

• Develop: Craft, refine, and optimize our Enterprise Restaurant Operations Compound Software solution using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate: Work closely with talented developers, designers, and product managers to bring innovative features to life.
• Innovate: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our architecture, tools, and processes.
• Problem-Solve: Tackle challenging problems with creative solutions, ensuring our platform is robust, scalable, and efficient.
• Commit: Engage in full-time, on-site work, embracing the flexibility to work odd hours as needed to meet project deadlines and milestones.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong preference for Ruby on Rails (RoR).
• Proven track record of building and maintaining complex applications, with a strong understanding of web development principles.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis for caching and data structure storage.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Expertise with AWS cloud services and Terraform for infrastructure.
• Drive: A hardcore developer mindset, ready to dive deep into code and emerge with solutions.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work odd hours and go the extra mile to achieve excellence.
• Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
