Founding Designer - Shape Our Product from the Ground Up

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Founding Designer to join our fully remote team at matcha.fm. As a Founding Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about design and wants to make a significant impact in a startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Own design end-to-end — from early concepts to shipped product.
• Build our design system and visual language from scratch.
• Work directly with founders to shape product direction.
• Design experiences that help people find work they actually want.
• Establish the bar for quality as we grow.

Requirements

• 4+ years designing digital products.
• Strong portfolio showing product thinking, not just visual polish.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions without perfect information.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Startup experience preferred; previous founder experience is a bonus.
