Forklift Driver (2nd Shift) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

As a Forklift Driver at Van’s Kitchen, you will play a vital role in supporting the flow of materials throughout our warehouse, freezer, dock, and production areas. This Forklift Driver remote position is essential for ensuring efficient operations, accurate fulfillment, and alignment with our standards for safety, quality, and excellence.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate equipment such as lift trucks, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
• Help maintain a safe and clean work environment throughout the facility.
• Label, sort, and relocate items within the warehouse.
• Manage inventory using a scanning system and proper bin allocation.
• Communicate with the warehouse clerk to effectively manage and prioritize the shipping schedule regarding all inbound and outbound items.
• Follow and ensure the proper use of tablets and scanners for all warehouse operations.
• Document material usage with detailed information.
• Identify and report any damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies of materials.

Requirements

• Forklift certification is required.
• Prior forklift experience is necessary.
• Experience in warehousing or manufacturing is helpful.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively.
• Understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ability to read and write clearly.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be willing to work in cold, wet, hot, and humid environments.

Nice to Have

• RF scanner experience.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
