Field Automation Engineer - Remote Position
About the Role
Join Tecan as a Field Automation Engineer in this exciting remote position, primarily covering the Florida and Southeastern U.S. territory. Your skills and unique background will significantly impact the world of tomorrow, helping to shape a brighter, healthier future for patients globally.
What You'll Do
- Install, develop, and implement applications and integrations on Tecan liquid handling platforms, including EVO and/or FLUENT.
- Perform instrument installation, integration of third-party devices, and develop software applications by writing Evoware and/or Fluent scripts.
- Conduct problem diagnosis, service, and preventative maintenance on Tecan instruments.
- Provide customer training on application development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Share insights from unique problems or specialized training with the FAE Team and Tecan organization.
- Maintain a travel schedule and be willing to travel on short notice, up to 60% of the time.
- Complete essential service records according to company policy and maintain appropriate parts inventory.
- Attend educational workshops to maintain technical knowledge.
Requirements
- BS degree in Life Science or Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience working with Evoware, Fluent, Magellan, and other Tecan software.
- Minimum of 3 years of robotics/automation experience and writing scripts.
- Electro/mechanical experience is a plus.
- Well-developed PC skills, including MS Windows and Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
