Facilities Services Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Facilities Services Lead remote to join our dynamic team at Inspired Education Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily maintenance of buildings, grounds, and services to ensure safety, functionality, and presentation.
• Manage and prioritize reactive and planned maintenance through the work-order system, including task allocation and follow-up.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance and repairs when required.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant completion of works.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver minor capital works by defining scope, timelines, and quality outcomes with stakeholders.
• Source materials and services in line with procurement processes, monitor expenditure, and identify cost efficiencies.
• Lead and support maintenance staff, overseeing workflow, service response times, and fostering a proactive, accountable team culture.
• Coordinate setup and pack-down for school events, ensuring venues meet operational and safety requirements.
• Conduct daily campus inspections, addressing or escalating issues to maintain operational readiness.
• Monitor grounds presentation and WHS compliance, maintaining records, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance, facilities, or building services roles.
• Experience coordinating maintenance workflows and supervising contractors.
• Strong understanding of WHS and facilities compliance requirements.
• Experience managing operational budgets and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in the use of tools, machinery, and general building maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with facilities management systems and record-keeping practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Traffic Management qualifications would be highly regarded.
• Experience with AV systems and school environments desirable.
