DevOps Engineer - High Performance Trading Systems

About the Role

Jump Trading Group is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our high-performance trading systems team. This DevOps Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment, where you'll collaborate with traders and technologists to enhance our trading operations.

What You'll Do

• Ensure production servers are properly configured and maintained.
• Write and maintain complex Python infrastructure to support trading operations.
• Collaborate with trading teams to address operational issues and improve deployment processes.
• Debug and optimize systems infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Take ownership of mission-critical systems and manage multiple projects effectively.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Python and Linux.
• Experience with C++ and SQL is preferable.
• Proven debugging skills in code development and systems infrastructure.
• Ability to balance performance and simplicity in engineering decisions.
• Self-directed with a passion for ownership and responsibility.

Nice to Have

• Experience in automated electronic trading environments.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading systems.
