Entry-Level Propulsion Test Engineer - Join Our Space Mission

About the Role

We are looking for an Entry-Level Propulsion Test Engineer to join our innovative team at The Exploration Company. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the development of our cutting-edge Nyx orbital vehicle. As a Propulsion Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our propulsion systems, which are at the heart of our spacecraft.

What You'll Do

• Support the testing and development of fluidic and pressurization systems for our orbital vehicle.
• Develop and commission electrical, mechanical, and fluidic test benches.
• Define and execute test plans, coordinating with the design team to ensure successful outcomes.
• Conduct daily test activities, collaborating with simulation teams for effective data processing.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades on test rigs to ensure optimal performance.
• Calibrate and verify sensors and hardware between tests.
• Write reports as necessary following operations and tests.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in testing activities.
• Strong understanding of fluid component selection and assembly, including tubing, fittings, and sealing types.
• Experience with data acquisition equipment and test instrumentation.
• Proven ability to generate test plans and conduct development test campaigns.
• Excellent collaboration skills for effective cross-departmental work.
• Autonomous, hands-on, and operationally minded.
• Fluency in English is required.
