Social Worker - Remote Position at IMAD

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team at IMAD in a remote capacity. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and addressing the needs of individuals in crisis within the Geneva socio-sanitary network. Your expertise will be essential in providing support and intervention strategies to help clients regain stability and improve their quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate requests from health professionals and respond promptly or redirect to appropriate services.
• Conduct socio-sanitary assessments in collaboration with nursing staff, utilizing your social expertise to develop short-term intervention projects.
• Provide clients and their families with strategies to alleviate crises, offering empathetic support to restore balance.
• Document each intervention thoroughly, including assessments, services provided, and chosen orientations.
• Assess the effectiveness and relevance of interventions to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions outside of intervention hours.
• Actively engage in collaborative sessions with partners to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
• Strong mediation skills and adaptability in various interpersonal contexts.
• Excellent knowledge of the Geneva socio-sanitary network.
• Experience in areas such as exclusion, precariousness, minor care, or mental health is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Additional certifications in crisis intervention or mental health support.
• Experience in community outreach programs.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly French and English.
