Entry-Level Network QA Engineer - Telecommunications

About the Role

We are seeking an Entry-Level Network QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at JND Inc. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the telecommunications industry, specifically focusing on LTE and 5G technologies. As a Network QA Engineer, you will be involved in various quality assurance activities, ensuring that user equipment (UE) meets the required standards in a live network environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute test strategies and plans for LTE and 5G field protocols.
• Perform detailed analysis of 4G and 5G protocols, including field testing with mobile devices.
• Analyze customer requirements and convert them into system requirements for the development team.
• Evaluate new product and software releases, providing recommendations for performance improvements.
• Set up test plans to meet project deadlines and manage risk items based on test findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues reported from customer labs and production networks.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time for field testing and evaluations.
• Utilize UE log post-processing tools such as QXDM, QCAT, and Wireshark for analysis.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in telecommunications, specifically with LTE and 5G technologies.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end LTE and 5G network architecture.
• Familiarity with IMS features, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and SMS/MMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Previous experience in field testing and analyzing KPIs in a live network environment.
• Basic knowledge of SIM OTA activation testing is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile application and software development.
• Familiarity with customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of radio access network technologies.
