About the Role

BeaconFire Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Java Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This Java Software Developer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects while developing your skills in a supportive environment. You will be involved in creating and maintaining software applications that power our clients' platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Develop software and web applications using Java 8/J2EE/Java EE, React.js, Angular 2+, SQL, Spring, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Write scalable, secure, and maintainable code that meets client requirements.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests to ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with testers to understand and resolve defects in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
  • Work closely with team members to achieve shared user story and sprint goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in programming languages such as JavaScript or similar (e.g., Java, Python, C, C++, C#).
  • Basic programming skills using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, Lists, and Sets.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and basic SQL query language skills.
  • 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science (CS).
  • Experience using Spring, Maven, and Angular frameworks.
  • Knowledge of contemporary Java technologies (e.g., Weblogic, RabbitMQ, Tomcat).
  • Familiarity with JSP, J2EE, and JDBC.
