About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Smartsheet. This remote Engineering Manager position is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of software engineers dedicated to delivering exceptional products to our customers. What You'll Do

• Manage a team of software engineers to deliver great products to our customers.
• Oversee the development and success of one or more products.
• Lead, coach, and inspire your team to achieve quality software.
• Collaborate with partners across the company, including product management, UX, and customer teams.
• Establish lean engineering processes that use collaboration and rapid iteration to build the right product for the right problems.
• Hire and grow your team by promoting engineering excellence and career development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing software engineering teams.
• Deep software development skills in at least one systems development language such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with modern technology stacks focused on building scalable, highly available customer-facing cloud applications.
• Experience in technologies such as distributed systems, systems automation, and cloud technologies.
• Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices.
