Electrician - Remote Position for Energy Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join Genera PR in our mission to provide reliable and affordable energy solutions to Puerto Rico. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Generating Units. This is a remote position where you will be responsible for implementing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.

What You'll Do

• Execute electrical work related to the installation, removal, diagnosis, repair, calibration, and maintenance of Generating Units and associated equipment.
• Install, remove, diagnose, and repair electrical circuits for automatic control equipment such as switches, transformers, and UPS systems.
• Inspect motors and generators, and perform general electrical repairs as needed.
• Conduct tests on equipment, including insulation and conductivity tests, to ensure operational reliability.
• Interpret diagrams and schematics to analyze electrical circuits and recommend modifications.
• Organize daily work, directing and verifying the tasks of assistant electricians.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment conditions and perform minor repairs on assigned vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and procedures, fostering a safe and positive work environment.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Electricity from an accredited institution in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• Valid Electrician License to practice in Puerto Rico.
• Two (2) years or more of experience as an electrician in a related industry.
• Proficient in reading electrical plans, technical manuals, and P&IDs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license in Puerto Rico.

Nice to Have

• Experience with high voltage systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in electrical work.
