What You'll Do

• Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation for Kong’s products, including API references, user guides, tutorials, and integration guides.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Own the documentation lifecycle from planning through publication and ongoing maintenance.
• Contribute to improving documentation processes, tools, and standards.
• Get hands-on with the product to validate documentation and build expertise.
• Support contributions from across the organization and help maintain content quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software or technology sector.
• Strong understanding of API documentation and technical writing best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with tools such as Git for version control and documentation management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Knowledge of programming languages or software development.
• Familiarity with user experience design principles.
