eCommerce Compliance & Fraud Specialist - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking an eCommerce Compliance & Fraud Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting the integrity of the Awin network by designing, supporting, and executing fraud detection, compliance, and risk mitigation processes. As an eCommerce Compliance & Fraud Specialist, you will utilize your strong technical mindset to work with data, interpret system outputs, and investigate behavioral patterns associated with fraudulent or non-compliant activity.

What You'll Do

• Conduct technical and behavioral reviews of publisher operations on the Awin network, ensuring compliance with platform policies.
• Analyze publisher websites and traffic behavior to identify fraud, compliance, or quality risks.
• Perform structured investigations using reporting tools and business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI and SQL.
• Support the development of fraud and risk detection strategies using rule-based analysis and behavioral signals.
• Monitor publisher earnings and conversion attribution signals across network platforms.
• Provide guidance to internal teams and external partners on fraud prevention and compliance standards.
• Communicate investigation findings and risk decisions to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in fraud investigation or risk operations within digital platforms, fintech, or e-commerce environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret structured data outputs.
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL or equivalent logical query thinking.
• Fundamental understanding of affiliate marketing ecosystems and tracking technology.
• Proven experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to work with operational workflow tools such as Asana or comparable task management systems.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience using workflow or ticketing platforms such as Salesforce or Zendesk.
• Experience analyzing web intelligence tools such as SimilarWeb.
• Experience with AI/ML-assisted risk detection concepts.
