Director of Product Design - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product Design to join Raisin, the world's leading platform for savings and investment products. This remote Director of Product Design role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of wealth management across multiple platforms. You will lead a talented design team and drive the strategic design vision for our innovative FinTech solutions.

What You'll Do

• Set and champion a clear vision for product design that aligns with company goals and brand values.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing product design team, providing thoughtful leadership and career development support.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure cohesive and compelling user experiences.
• Define scalable design processes and systems that foster efficiency, creativity, and accountability.
• Uphold the highest standards of design craft across all outputs, ensuring visual and interaction designs are clear, functional, and beautiful.
• Champion the voice of the user through research, data, and empathy, ensuring our solutions are inclusive and impactful.
• Navigate complexity with confidence, demonstrating calm leadership through periods of change and ambiguity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing design teams at scale.
• A strong portfolio showcasing design excellence, systems thinking, and user-centered problem solving across web and mobile platforms.
• Proven experience in scaling and leading design teams in a tech-driven product environment, ideally within fintech or B2C digital services.
• Expertise in driving end-to-end product design from research to implementation.
• Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, responsive design, and current trends in UI/UX.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals.
• Familiarity with agile environments and product development cycles.

• Knowledge of financial services and investment products.
• Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing.
