About the Role

Chainalysis is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead our procurement strategy in a remote capacity. What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with Finance to manage vendor spend in accordance with budgets and forecasts, driving cost savings through structured sourcing strategies.
  • Own the vendor portfolio, focusing on rationalizing and consolidating software and technology vendors to reduce redundancy and improve utilization.
  • Lead negotiations across key spend categories, particularly in software and technology, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Act as a strategic business partner by providing financial analysis and market intelligence to guide vendor selection.
  • Automate the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, enforcing procurement policies and ensuring compliance.
  • Implement AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and visibility in procurement operations.
  • Define and track procurement KPIs focused on savings and vendor utilization, delivering data-driven reports to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to manage contract risks and regulatory considerations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings and vendor rationalization initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to align procurement decisions with financial objectives.
  • Deep negotiation experience, particularly in software and technology categories.
  • Familiarity with modern procurement tools such as Coupa or Zip.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments with evolving processes.
