Senior AP Accountant - Remote Position at Camunda

About the Role

Join Camunda as a Senior AP Accountant in a fully remote position where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Accounts Payable operations. This Senior AP Accountant role offers the opportunity to work with a supportive, distributed Finance team that values integrity, ambition, and humor. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure timely approvals and a great experience for vendors and internal stakeholders from request through payment.

What You'll Do

• Own and execute end-to-end AP operations across entities, from invoice intake through coding, matching, issue resolution, payment runs, and reconciliations.
• Co-own Travel and Expense operations, including compliance enforcement and month-end close readiness.
• Maintain vendor master data hygiene and support vendor onboarding and updates.
• Drive Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process improvements to enhance data quality and scalability.
• Prepare and review AP-related month-end close activities in collaboration with the Accounting team.
• Document processes and controls in Zip and Brex, creating clear guidance for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AP experience, including ownership of invoice processing and vendor management.
• Proven ownership of AP month-end activities in an IFRS reporting environment.
• Strong understanding of P2P processes and internal controls.
• Experience with a modern, cloud-based ERP system (e.g., NetSuite).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.

• Exposure to process automation and system rollouts in Finance.
