About the Role

We are seeking a Director of AI Strategy & Transformation for Wind Engineering to lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across our Wind Engineering organization. This pivotal role involves establishing a scalable AI capability that drives value and innovation within our engineering processes.

What You'll Do

  • Define and own the AI strategy and multi-year roadmap for Wind Engineering, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise AI direction.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases across various engineering domains such as design, analysis, and operations.
  • Establish clear value hypotheses, success metrics, and ROI tracking for AI initiatives to ensure measurable business outcomes.
  • Design and implement scalable AI systems, including standards for data, models, and deployment.
  • Lead AI governance initiatives, focusing on model risk management, data quality, and compliance with responsible AI standards.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of AI engineers and data scientists, defining capability requirements and career paths for AI roles.
  • Drive the adoption of AI tools and workflows within engineering processes, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Manage external partnerships with AI technology providers and research institutions to accelerate capability development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in engineering leadership and digital transformation within complex industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to design and lead governance and scalable systems.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled business outcomes at scale.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and MLOps frameworks.
  • Experience in wind energy or similarly regulated industries is a plus.

  • Experience managing external partnerships and joint development initiatives.
  • Strong systems thinking and results orientation.
