Director & Compliance Officer - Digital Assets

About the Role

We are seeking a Director & Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team at Keyrock, a leading player in the digital asset space. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations for our Seychelles-based entity. As a Director & Compliance Officer remote, you will develop and implement policies and procedures that uphold our commitment to regulatory excellence.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations by developing and implementing robust policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and elaborate an annual compliance plan.
• Develop and implement a plan of second-line controls and conduct necessary tests.
• Draft compliance points of attention and recommendations for the Board of Directors.
• Assess future business activities to identify potential compliance risks.
• Ensure effective communication of the firm’s policies and procedures to all relevant employees.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and maintain policies and procedures accordingly.
• Oversee Keyrock SYC compliance with its AML obligations, acting as a focal point for the firm’s AML activity.
• Conduct KYC, onboarding customers, ongoing monitoring, and reporting of STR/SAR.
• Represent the company in all matters of money laundering prevention in Seychelles.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on AML/CTF matters, providing guidance and support to the compliance team and other departments.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with Keyrock’s SYC regulatory obligations.
• Serve as a Board Member of Keyrock SYC, focusing on compliance-related matters and providing strategic guidance on regulatory obligations.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a compliance officer (2nd line of defense) in a regulated financial institution.
• Experience engaging with regulatory authorities.
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations such as AML/CTF, VASP Act, market abuse, data protection, etc.
• Understanding of the digital assets ecosystem is a plus.
• A relevant degree is required.
• Extensive experience in implementing monitoring and control processes to support policies and procedures.
• A compliance qualification such as ACAMS or a Master's in a related field is advantageous.
• Project management skills, including the ability to oversee complex projects.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
