What You'll Do
- Own the internal platforms critical to our ability to develop, test, deploy, and monitor our code.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation to minimize lead time across the stack.
- Develop and enforce best practices for observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response to minimize Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on platforms such as GCP and AWS.
- Lead technical design discussions, post-mortems, and architecture reviews related to our systems.
- Identify and proactively address performance bottlenecks, cost inefficiencies, and system vulnerabilities.
- Maintain composure during on-call situations and effectively troubleshoot issues.
- Contribute to other essential engineering tasks that seasoned engineers undertake.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience in a DevOps role.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, bare metal, and distributed systems.
- Proven experience in building, scaling, and maintaining production infrastructure.
- Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong background in automation, scripting, and tooling (e.g., Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to balance technical depth, team leadership, and strategic impact.
- Experience in Web3 or high-growth startups is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously within a distributed team.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Typescript and C++.
- Experience with LMDB for persistence.
- Knowledge of Discv5 and libp2p.
- Understanding of Ethereum as a Layer 1 solution.
