Deputy Technical Director - Social Response Management
About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Technical Director to join our team at Aldeias de Crianças SOS Portugal. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and support social response initiatives while ensuring the operational quality of family care interventions. As a Deputy Technical Director remote, you will work closely with the Technical Director to manage and guide a dedicated team, ensuring the well-being of children and families.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Technical Director in coordinating, supervising, and supporting the technical team.
- Ensure the implementation of intervention models and procedures, maintaining consistent application in the field.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of foster families.
- Technically oversee the foster care processes, ensuring quality in the development, execution, and monitoring of intervention plans for children and youth.
- Support the team in promoting and protecting projects, focusing on the best interests of children and youth.
- Provide continuous support to foster families in collaboration with case managers.
- Work with the vacancy management team to identify suitable families for children and youth.
- Engage with external entities (ISS, CPCJ, courts, schools, health services, etc.) to ensure integrated intervention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, or similar).
- Professional experience working with at-risk children and youth.
- Experience in a foster care context is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation regarding family care.
- Understanding of child development and trauma impact.
- Technical coordination and team support skills are preferred.
- Computer literacy.
- Driver's license and availability for flexible hours.
