Customer Success Engineer - Remote EMEA

About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) to join our dynamic team at GitLab. This remote role in the EMEA region offers the opportunity to work with a leading DevSecOps platform that empowers organizations to enhance developer productivity and streamline operational efficiency. As a Customer Success Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers realize the full potential of GitLab’s capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with customers through Zoom calls and emails, acting as a technical consultant during the post-sales process.
  • Provide technical, architectural, and best practice guidance tailored to customer needs.
  • Drive measurable value and product adoption, ensuring customer satisfaction and renewal.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Renewals Managers to align on customer business objectives.
  • Develop and conduct customer workshops and demos to showcase GitLab’s solutions.
  • Maintain expertise in GitLab technologies through continuous learning and certification.
  • Contribute to documentation, YouTube content, and other enablement programs.
  • Continuously improve your professional skills and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

  • Experience with GitLab use cases, including SCM, CI, CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps tools or related technical tooling.
  • Strong technical background in development or systems engineering.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to customers and business leaders.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
  • Fluency in German is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Git and SecOps practices.
