Core Banking Microservices Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Core Banking Microservices Developer to join our team remotely. At Salmon Bank, we are reshaping the banking landscape and need your expertise to develop reliable, scalable microservices that form the backbone of our core banking products.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a team to develop and enhance platform solutions for banking products.
• Build scalable microservices in the JVM environment using Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architecture with a focus on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and eventual consistency.
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable APIs and services.
• Contribute to internal SDKs and frameworks to streamline service usage.
• Integrate with other platforms and services in a scalable manner.
• Assist in the development and scaling of banking and partner platforms.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience within the JVM environment.
• Proficiency in Java is a must (Good knowledge of Kotlin is a plus).
• Experience using Spring Boot in a microservices environment.
• Proven experience working in an agile setup, with continuous deployment and delivery practices.
• Expertise in event-driven architectures, domain-driven design, and ensuring eventual consistency.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for knowledge sharing within the team.
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration (preferably with Docker and Kubernetes) in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience building publicly available APIs and services.
• Experience developing SDKs and frameworks to streamline internal service usage.
• Experience integrating with other platforms and services at scale.
• Knowledge of building and scaling banking platforms and partner ecosystems.
• Familiarity with building BPM solutions using Camunda (a strong advantage).
