Controls Engineer - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team remotely. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining electrical control systems, enhancing your career while contributing to our company's growth.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop PLC equipment control interfaces using various programmable controllers such as Siemens S7F and TIA, and Allen Bradley Control Logix.
• Write transparent, reusable, and maintainable code from scratch.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure adherence to company standards and practices.
• Engage in continuous learning and development of engineering concepts and principles.
• Document equipment functions and interconnectivity to form efficient control systems.
• Travel to customer sites as required, approximately 20% - 40% of the time.
• Facilitate discussions and presentations on technical content.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach while managing multiple tasks in dynamic environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in automation control systems.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley RS Logix 5, 500, Studio 5000, or Siemens S7, S7F, TIA Portal.
• Ability to program independently preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial networking such as PROFINET and Ethernet/IP is a plus.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong organizational skills.
