About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Control & Instrumentation Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will maintain high reliability and efficiency of the plant’s control systems and instrumentation while leading the Control & Instrumentation team. This position is crucial for ensuring operational excellence and adherence to safety practices.

What You'll Do

  • Execute breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance for GSR, ASM, glove puller, CDS machines, vision systems, APM, PLC controllers, and other automation systems.
  • Perform daily checklists, inspections, tuning, and alignment of automation systems according to required accuracy and frequency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control and instrumentation equipment across production lines, utilities, and compounding areas.
  • Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of new automation systems and equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen programs, to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Manage spare parts usage and maintain cost control within allocated budget.
  • Contribute to achieving plant targets for OEE, breakdown time reduction, online rejection rate, and CSI.
  • Report on automation systems’ performance, repairs, spare parts, supplies, and manpower requirements.
  • Expand and apply operational knowledge of plant automation systems, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Promote safe work practices and 5S discipline in workshop and factory areas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Control & Instrumentation Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex control systems.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in control systems or instrumentation.
  • Experience with Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
