About the Role

We are seeking a Consultant for Development of Safe Programming Guidelines to join our team at Mercy Corps. This remote consultant position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful programming in humanitarian aid. You will develop guidelines for integrating safe programming into partnerships within Market Systems Development programming, focusing on adaptive, locally owned solutions in crisis-affected contexts.

What You'll Do

• Develop guidelines for safe programming in partnerships.
• Conduct literature reviews and consultations with partners.
• Facilitate workshops and validation sessions.
• Analyze data and draft reports on safe programming practices.
• Collaborate with various teams across Mercy Corps.
• Ensure guidelines are relevant to local contexts.
• Promote safety, diversity, and inclusion in programming.
• Strengthen partnerships through inclusive practices.
• Deliver final reports and presentations.
• Engage with stakeholders to validate findings.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in International Development or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in Safe Programming and related areas.
• Experience in conducting assessments and evaluations.
• Strong qualitative data collection and analysis skills.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Fluency in English required.
• Experience with the ESA context is desirable.
