Adjunct Faculty - California Credential Multiple Subject with English Language Authorization (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Adjunct Faculty member to join UMass Global as a remote educator. This Adjunct Faculty position focuses on teaching candidates with a California teaching credential in an online environment. As an Adjunct Faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and mentoring students, all while working remotely from approved states.

What You'll Do

• Teach and mentor students in online courses, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
• Prepare and deliver engaging course content and assessments tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with faculty for curriculum planning and improvement.
• Utilize educational technologies and tools to enhance the learning experience.
• Hold virtual office hours for student support and engagement.
• Participate in program review and assessment activities to maintain academic standards.
• Engage in calibration meetings to ensure consistency in grading and assessment.
• Support students in mastering their California Teaching Performance Assessments (CalTPAs).

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field.
• California Clear Multiple Subject Credential.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a California elementary school.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Preferred: Doctoral degree in education.
• Preferred: California Administrative Credential.
• Preferred: Familiarity with educational tools like Go React.
