Cloud Engineer - Remote Position for UK Wealth Management Firm

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join a leading UK wealth management firm in a remote capacity. This role is crucial as the company undergoes significant digital transformation and growth, providing you with an opportunity to make a substantial impact on their cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design, maintain, and optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments to ensure stability and scalability.
- Provide technical support for escalations from the Service Desk, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
- Support cloud integration across the business, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
- Assist with onboarding and integrating new acquisitions into the cloud environment.
- Monitor, patch, and maintain cloud services to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Contribute to infrastructure design, build, testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve cloud performance, security, and efficiency.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including VMs, storage, networking, and security.
- Experience managing Azure networking technologies such as vNets, SD-WAN, and ZTNA.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
