About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join a leading UK wealth management firm in a remote capacity. This role is crucial as the company undergoes significant digital transformation and growth, providing you with an opportunity to make a substantial impact on their cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Design, maintain, and optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments to ensure stability and scalability.
  • Provide technical support for escalations from the Service Desk, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
  • Support cloud integration across the business, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with onboarding and integrating new acquisitions into the cloud environment.
  • Monitor, patch, and maintain cloud services to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design, build, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cloud performance, security, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including VMs, storage, networking, and security.
  • Experience managing Azure networking technologies such as vNets, SD-WAN, and ZTNA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
