Circular Engineer - Remote Opportunity in Sustainability

About the Role

We're hiring a Circular Engineer to join our team remotely and lead the charge in sustainability efforts. As a Circular Engineer, you'll be a sustainability champion, pioneering innovative solutions that reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency. What You'll Do

• Your mission will be to elevate our Circular Heerema ambition by mapping and monitoring our material and waste streams both onshore and offshore, including steel consumption and material flow analyses.
• Identify areas for improvement and collaborate on implementing these improvements to contribute to our sustainability reporting.
• Support our broader Sustainability Ambitions, including decarbonization and ensuring the well-being of our people.
• Work closely with multiple teams, including Engineering, HSE, Procurement, Project Management, Operations, and Equipment, as well as our offshore fleet and various external companies.
• Integrate circular principles and sustainable solutions into our day-to-day operations, projects, and processes.

Requirements

• Affinity with sustainability and circular economy and circular business models.
• A minimum of two years of relevant working experience with circular economy, preferably in the marine or offshore industry.
• Ability to concretize abstract issues with an open mind.
• Knowledge and experience in the visualization of data.
• Strong social skills to maintain valuable relationships internally and externally with clients and relevant companies from various industries.
• Willingness to take on challenges and own responsibilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sustainability reporting tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management practices.
• Understanding of marine and offshore operations.
