Buyer - Remote Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Buyer to join our team at Insight Enterprises. This Buyer remote position is perfect for someone looking to make a significant impact in procurement while working flexibly. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that Insight EMEA purchases the right products and quantities at the best prices, contributing to our operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Manage the placement and fulfillment of purchase orders to distributors, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Proactively confirm purchase orders and obtain tracking information for shipments.
• Recommend major purchases based on anticipated price changes or availability issues.
• Liaise with Sales and support teams to maximize sales potential through effective communication of availability and delivery dates.
• Ensure accurate delivery dates are maintained in the system.
• Manage backlog effectively, ensuring all purchase orders are placed promptly upon receipt.
• Respond to incoming workflow requests within established SLAs.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing pricing and supply issues.
• Conduct monthly supplier reviews and ensure departmental reporting requirements are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a focus on software or hardware.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with inventory management and understanding of supply chain processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a B2B environment.
• Familiarity with procurement software or tools.
• Knowledge of market trends in technology procurement.
