Business Intelligence Developer - Remote

About the Role

We’re hiring a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at SmartBear. This remote BI Developer position offers a unique opportunity to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making across our organization.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including Tableau dashboards.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and the GTM analytics team to ensure BI outputs meet business metrics.
• Understand business questions and propose related dashboard designs.
• Provide feedback on analysis logistics and design proposals.
• Communicate the basis of presentation for dashboards, including known data limitations.
• Craft and execute data queries necessary for data analysis.
• Present information through reports and interactive visualizations across various departments.
• Troubleshoot and debug data quality or dashboarding issues.
• Develop sustainable processes for ongoing data analysis and dashboard maintenance.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence developer roles.
• Strong technical ability with Excel, PowerBI, SQL, and Tableau.
• Experience working with large datasets and creating interactive dashboards.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data models.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, R, C++) is a plus.
