What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain backend systems primarily using Python or Go, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs or gRPC services, focusing on versioning and performance optimization.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and have a basic understanding of Kubernetes for deploying scalable services.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, focusing on effective schema design.
  • Integrate and automate workflows across various systems, including data pipelines, CI/CD, and machine learning processes.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to define backend contracts that facilitate intuitive user experiences.
  • Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub Actions.
  • Leverage AWS or other cloud-based environments for deployment.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer remote, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go, with a solid understanding of RESTful API design.
  • Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and schema design.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration tools such as Flyte or Airflow.
  • Exposure to LLM inference/deployment tools like Hugging Face Hub or NVIDIA NIM.
  • Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
  • Understanding of observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
