Automation Specialist - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We are seeking an Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team at BrainRocket. This Automation Specialist remote position will focus on streamlining and enhancing our internal IT operations through the development of robust automation workflows, integrations, and dashboards. You will play a pivotal role in enabling our System Administrators and Endpoint Engineers to work more efficiently while collaborating on innovative AI bot initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows for internal IT processes, including employee onboarding/offboarding, system provisioning, and service account management.
• Develop custom integrations across systems that lack native SSO or APIs, ensuring secure and efficient synchronization.
• Collaborate with the AI IT Bot project team to create back-end workflows, API connections, and bot triggers.
• Automate global IT routine tasks through scripting and tools like n8n, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Create dashboards and a real-time "Operations Centre" in Grafana, integrating alerts, logs, and performance data from Zabbix, SQL sources, and custom tools.
• Work closely with Endpoint Engineers to write or improve automation scripts for device management, security compliance, and patching.
• Serve as a go-to expert on internal tool automation and cross-functional scripting support.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot failed automations, and continuously improve reliability and coverage.
• Document solutions, integrations, and best practices to enable broader adoption.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or DevOps-related roles.
• Strong hands-on skills with Python and either Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience building workflow automations with tools like n8n, Zapier, or custom scripts.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, token-based auth, and webhooks.
• Ability to work with SQL queries for reporting and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Zabbix, or similar monitoring/visualization tools.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail with a strong problem-solving attitude.
• Proactive communication skills and comfort working in a cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience automating onboarding/offboarding flows in systems without SSO/AMS.
• Familiarity with AI/Chatbot platforms and backend integrations.
• Understanding of Identity Management and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and git-based workflow management.
• Previous involvement in IT infrastructure automation or endpoint lifecycle management.
