What You'll Do

  • Gather, collect, record, track, and verify data from multiple sources to maintain Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) records.
  • Conduct system-level analysis to determine the impact of obsolescence issues and collaborate with engineers and suppliers to analyze solution options.
  • Assist engineering groups with the selection and validation of replacement components.
  • Facilitate DMSMS resolution activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing agendas.
  • Engage with senior management and government customers to ensure coordination of DMSMS resolution activities.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve DMSMS issues while maintaining high quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with program managers in developing Statements of Work (SOW) and Basis of Estimates (BOE) for DMSMS tasks.
  • Participate in working groups and ad hoc committees to address engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Must be completing or have completed a bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Solid written and oral communication skills to convey work products clearly.
  • Familiarity with obsolescence management concepts and processes.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).
  • For Systems Engineer (T02) role, a master's degree or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience is required.

Nice to Have

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship or work experience related to engineering.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and procedures.
  • Experience using Excel or comparable tools for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of configuration management of complex assemblies.
