About the Role

We are seeking an Associate in Restructuring & Insolvency to join our esteemed team at Dentons. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while engaging with a diverse range of high-profile cases in the legal sector. As an Associate, you will be part of a globally recognized practice that is renowned for its expertise in restructuring and insolvency law.

What You'll Do

  • Provide advisory services related to various restructuring and insolvency situations, working with stakeholders such as financial creditors, borrowers, and public bodies.
  • Implement restructuring strategies and processes tailored to the needs of clients.
  • Assist in the appointment of insolvency office holders and support them in their roles, including contingency planning.
  • Advise on insolvency transactions, including pre-packs and administration business sales.
  • Handle enforcement of security in non-consensual situations and conduct security reviews.
  • Manage insolvency disputes and officeholder claims, as well as non-contentious applications to Court.
  • Engage in business development activities, including training and seminars, to enhance the firm's profile.
  • Contribute to the development of internal know-how and business development materials.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of PQE in restructuring and insolvency law.
  • Strong understanding of finance and security documentation.
  • Proficient in contractual drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with English civil litigation procedures, particularly in preparing Insolvency Act applications for Court.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment across the UKIME.
  • Proven client handling skills and the ability to instill confidence in clients.
  • Enthusiasm for restructuring and insolvency law, with a commercial approach to advice.
  • Excellent academic background.
